Job Description: Looking for an enthusiastic individual to drive to, and sell at, farmers markets in our van to several farmers markets in Ottawa, on every Saturday and Sunday . 

Early days and you must be able to physically unload market goods including tables and tents by yourself.

Expect to start around 5:00am and return around 4:30 pm.

Expect to lift up to 75 lbs. crates during loading and unloading

Expect to interact with customers in a retail environment. No sales experience required but a pleasant attitude and genuine smile is welcome.

Critical thinker would be highly valued as loading for the drive home must be done so as load doesn’t shift and damage product.

Support Team will have van loaded for you in the night before and will unload contents when you return on Saturday.

Responsibilities:

  • Pack apples according to quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Drive Safely to and from Ottawa.
  • Deliver goods to grocery stores and farm market locations.
  • Prep and pack outgoing merchandise.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in agriculture or farm work is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain quality standards.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Reliable transportation to and from the farm.
  • G- class license.

Role Overview
We are looking for a versatile Retail Store Manager for our Brockville location. This position
offers a unique blend of responsibilities, ideal for someone who wants to work with great
people, in a family-oriented environment, serving the local community.

Core Responsibilities
1. Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and motivate a small retail team. Foster a positive work
environment that encourages collaboration and growth.
2. Sales and Revenue Targets: Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales goals
and revenue targets. Monitor performance metrics and adjust tactics as needed.
3. Customer Service Excellence: Ensure the highest standards of customer service are
maintained. Resolve customer issues promptly and maintain a customer-focused
culture.
4. Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels, order stock as needed, and manage
product displays to maximize sales and minimize losses.
5. Store Operations: Manage day-to-day store operations, including scheduling, budgeting,
and compliance with company policies and procedures.
6. Marketing and Promotions: Collaborate with the marketing team to execute
promotional campaigns and in-store events that drive foot traffic and sales.
7. Visual Merchandising: Maintain an attractive store layout and visual merchandising
standards to enhance the shopping experience.
8. Financial Management: Monitor store expenses, manage the budget, and ensure
financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
9. Continuous Improvement: Analyze store performance, gather customer feedback, and
implement improvements to drive growth and customer satisfaction.

Key Skills and Qualifications
● Passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
● Post-secondary education in business, retail management or a related field.
● Minimum of 3 years of retail supervisory or management experience.
● Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
● Strong leadership and team management skills.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
● Ability to make data-driven decisions and adapt to changing market trends.
● Easily adopts new software programs, researches and makes recommendations to
improve processes.
● Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed for events or
during ‘high season’.

Job Description: We are currently seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Farmers Market Staff. In this role, you will play a vital part in representing our company at various farmers markets throughout Ottawa. You will engage with customers, showcase our products, and ensure a positive shopping experience for all.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and break down market stalls in a timely manner.
  • Display and arrange products attractively to maximize sales.
  • Interact with customers in a friendly and helpful manner, providing product information and assistance as needed.
  • Handle transactions accurately and efficiently using point-of-sale systems.
